We've been to this hotel twice and after having a few problems with the booking, the hotel management gave us a bungalow right on the beach with TV, telephone, air conditioning, two balconies. We had the same waiter and exactly the same table as for 7 years ago when we last stayed at the hotel and found the food and service very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel staff made us feel very welcome. The beach was fantastic and it was spotless. It was such a relaxing holiday that we're planning on visiting the hotel again in the next two years or so. Although it's only a 3 star hotel, my motto is "you pay for what you get", which was very adequate. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel although it is very old and worn.
Lage
This hotel is directly on the beach and about 6 kilometers to town. You can even walk along the beach into town. There are shops on the main road and there is no problem at all in calling a taxi. The taxi fares are very cheap. There are lots of hotels in the area. The only problem is that it's a long way from the airport (about 90 minutes) and the bus has to drop everybody off at their hotel, which seemed to take ages.
Service
The hotel management are very friendly and speak English and German and are always there to help in times of need. The rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided every day. The problems we had at the beginning of the holiday were quickly resolved.
Gastronomie
The hotel had just one restaurant, which was very hot in the evening even though the restaurant had air conditioning. We had a table outside, which was decorated once a week with fresh flowers and the waiter was very friedly and helpful. The food was excellent as was the wine we were served.
Sport / Wellness
We had no need for animation as the children were too old, but there was always something available. The pool could have been a bit cleaner, but it was all right. The animation in the evening was terrible!!!
Zimmer
We had a bungalow right on the beach with two balconies. The room was very clean, but old. The hand towels were changed every day. We had a TV with German programes, air conditioning and plenty of storage space. The first floor had a very small balcony, but the bedroom upstairs had a very large balcony with a view that was breathtaking.
Preis Leistung / Fazit
The trips were very good and plenty and we found lots of restaurants in the area and in the town. We had no problem with using our mobile telephone and found the price adequate for the time we were there. We were there in August, which was very hot, but bearable. There was a hospital 200 meters away, which was very clean and the doctors/nurses spoke perfect German.
